Our Super Vision systems make use of a digital recorder (Digital Video Recorder - DVR). This is mounted in the central unit of a PC and uses a special software that can be run on several Windows versions. The PC is delivered with monitor, keyboard, mouse and Windows licence. Because the software asks for pretty high system requirements, the PC cannot be used simultaneously for other applications.

The main advantage of a DVR is the long time interval that can be recorded, due to the high capacity of the memory and to the efficient use of the storage area. This is possible, because recording can be performed according to a pre-established day-programme, or only as long as movement is detected.
For each video channel, a series of parameters can be individually adjusted, depending on the requirements.

One of the characteristics of a DVR is the number of frames per second (fps), which, if higher, enables retrieving the movement closer to the real one. Only in the case of an event, at lower rates of this parameter, jerky images appear.At displaying the images, one can select very easily only the ones of interest (from certain cameras, for certain time intervals).

Based on the same technology like the Internet, our solution has all the advantages of the latter: images can be transmitted on very large distances, without loosing in quality, because they are in digital format; the system can be extended practically unlimited, at any moment; it is quickly installed, through simple supply from and connection to the electrical grid; the sound is transmitted bi-directionally, together with the image.

Is CCTV suitable for me?
