DESCRIPTION OF THE MECHANISM FOR AUTO
REGISTER NUMBER RECOGNITION: Selecting the frames of
interest; Identification of the register number plate;
Processing of the image with the register number plate;
Segmenting the characters of the register number; Neuronal
network for recognition of the individual characters; Statistic
and syntactic algorithms for improving the results.
ARCHITECTURE OF THE DATA
BASE: The result of the image processing is displayed in
real time and at the same time is stored in the data base. If the
result of the recognition is not the correct one, the application
offers the possibility for the registration number to be introduced
by the user. In our application one can define several access
profiles for the vehicles: -unconditional access, -access on
the basis of affiliation to a preferential list, -blocking the
access based on appearing on a special list, -access based on
subscription, -exit conditioned by payment for the parking
period.
The application allows notification of the
presence of a vehicle, if its registration number is on a special
list: -the list of stolen cars, -the list of cars chased by
the police.
The data base is structured as follows:
- Events
- Access Information
- Information about suspicious vehicles
For each event the following information is stored:
